Lauren Wong is the founder
and developer of the DoNation iOS app and website. She is a student at the
Nueva School in San Mateo and has loved coding since the third grade. Her first
iOS app DoNation was named winner of the 2018 Congressional App Challenge.
Lauren is also the creator of spellingbeesolver.com,
a solver for lovers of the popular New York Times Spelling Bee Puzzle. She is co-founder of the
STEMinism Club at the Nueva School, which seeks to promote STEM engagement for
girls and female-identifying students through innovative games and workshops.
She is also co-founder of CS4Girls, an initiative to offer early STEM education to
girls through summer camps. In the summer of 2019, CS4Girls will be offering
coding camps in Northern California. Lauren also shares her love of coding as
assistant coding instructor for Girls Who Code at the San Mateo Public Library.
She was a member of the Stanford AI4ALL class of 2018 and is a member the
National Center for Women & Information Technology and First Robotics. When not
programming, you can find Lauren reading on her Kindle or playing volleyball.
